class: center, middle, inverse, title-slide # The Effect of Vitamin C on Tooth Growth in Guinea Pigs ### Amyas Walji ### 8/4/2019 --- # Assignment This assignment had us create a web page that features an R Markdown presentation. ## Introduction This study investigates the influence of Vitamin C on tooth growth in guinea pigs. - The dataset contains 60 observations on 3 different variables. - Each animal received one of three dose levels of vitamin C (0.5, 1, and 2 mg/day) by one of two delivery methods: orange juice or ascorbic acid. --- # Exploratory Analysis ```r data(ToothGrowth) ```
--- # ... - When the sample guinea pigs are given Vitamin C tooth length shows to have increased across the board. - As the dose of supplement is increased so does the mean tooth length of the guinea pigs. - However, with a dose of 2.0 mg per day the mean tooth length when given orange juice (26.06) or ascorbic acid (26.14) does not differ greately. - When comparing the overal effect between the two types of Vitamin C, there seems to be no major difference in tooth growth. The results from the exploratory analysis point toward a positive correlation between tooth length and Vitamin C supplementation. --- # Thanks **Any questions?**
